Everything You Want to Know about Therapy and Counselling services at Holistic Living Wellness StudioBefore You Begin

A trusted friend listens — a therapist guides. Therapy is a structured, evidence-based process where a trained professional helps you understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviour that even the closest friends cannot identify.

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If you find yourself feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unlike yourself — if your relationships are struggling, your sleep has changed, or you simply feel that something is off — those are all valid reasons to seek support.

Research consistently shows that therapy is highly effective — but its success depends on two things: the right therapeutic relationship, and your willingness to engage with the process. At Holistic Living, we take the time to match you with the right therapist and approach before your first session.

Your first session is largely a discussion. Your therapist will gently explore what brings you in, your background, and what you’re hoping to work toward. From the second session onward, each session is shaped by your needs that week. Some sessions involve deep emotional work; others may focus on practical tools and strategies.

Yes. Online therapy is as effective as in-person sessions. Our online sessions are conducted on secure, end-to-end encrypted platforms, and your therapist is just as present and attentive as they would be in the room

Therapists typically work with deeper or longer-standing issues through therapeutic techniques and guidance. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who diagnose clinical conditions and prescribe medication.

A poor therapeutic experience is more common than people realise — and it’s almost never about the client. It’s usually about the wrong fit, approach, or moment in your life. At Holistic Living, our intake process is designed specifically to prevent this. We listen carefully before we match, and we integrate multiple modalities so your care is never one-dimensional.

We begin with a free 10-minute consultation — not to assess you, but to understand you well enough to recommend the right fit. We consider your concerns, goals, and expectations. If the first match doesn’t feel right, we’ll find another — without question, without judgment.

Every therapist at Holistic Living holds recognised qualifications in psychology, counselling, or their specialist modality — and brings substantial clinical experience to their practice. Many have trained in both conventional and holistic disciplines.

Tell us — and we will act immediately. The therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in the success of your work, and we take it seriously. You will never be made to feel awkward or disloyal for requesting a change. Your comfort is not a preference; it is a non-negotiable part of good therapy.

Yes. Many of our clients hold significant professional and personal responsibilities — executives, entrepreneurs, high-profile individuals, and their families. Our therapists are experienced in the unique pressures this brings

Three things set us apart. First, our integrative approach — we don’t limit ourselves to one modality. Second, our absolute commitment to discretion — our therapy is built around the privacy needs of clients. Third, our depth of human care — we are not a platform or a directory. Every client is known, held, and genuinely looked after

We offer sessions Monday through Saturday, including morning and late evening slots — designed to work around the schedules of busy professionals and couples. Online sessions offer even greater scheduling flexibility. Contact our team to find a time that works for you.

We have two studio locations — Chembur and Bandra — both designed with privacy, calm, and comfort in mind. Each studio features a private entrance, a quiet waiting area, and fully sound proofed therapy rooms. We also offer secure online sessions for clients based anywhere in the world.

Our session fees reflect the expertise, personalisation, and discretion we provide. Pricing varies by therapist, session type, and duration — and we are happy to discuss this transparently during your free 10-minute consultation.

Yes — and this is often the most effective approach. Many couples begin with joint sessions and also work individually with their own therapist simultaneously. This allows each person to process their own patterns privately, while the joint sessions address the shared dynamic

Completely — and you are far from alone in feeling this way. There is still a stigma around seeking mental health support. But consider this: going to therapy is the same decision-making clarity you’d apply to any other area of your health. The most successful, self-aware people in the world have therapists. Reaching out is a sign of intelligence, not weakness.

No. Your visits to Holistic Living — whether in-person or online — are entirely your own. We do not share client information with anyone, under any circumstances, except where we are legally obligated to do so (in rare cases involving immediate risk of harm).

Nothing special. You don’t need to prepare a speech, organise your thoughts, or know exactly what you want to say. Come as you are — tired, confused, emotional, or even unsure. Your therapist’s job is to help you find the thread, not the other way around.
